Additional engine for hydraulics
It’s the solution adopted on the drum wood chipper PTH 1200/820 HACKERTRUCK provided to the company ROSSO COMMERCIO Srl in Sanfrè (CN).
The chipper, set to 3-axis MAN trucks, is driven by the engine of the truck that delivers an output power of 480 Hp. All the machine’s hydraulics (including the crane) is powered by a second JOHN DEERE engine 165 Hp power. This means that all the 480 hp generated by the truck engine should focus on the wood chipper increasing machine’s performances and productivity.
