The first self-propelled chipper purchased in southern Italy is signed Pezzolato.
The sector of power generation from solid biomass in Italy is not only a key piece among renewable sources, it also has a very important employment impact, involving about 5 thousand workers in the production and supply of biomass, especially in structurally low employment areas, such as in the south of the Italian peninsula.
Appropriate treatment of residual biomass (logs, prunings, brushwood) brings benefits both in the agricultural sector and in supporting the forestry industry for proper forest management.
Over the past 10 years, more than 30 high-end Pezzolato chippers installed on trucks, with power between 600 and 1,000 horsepower, have been sold in southern Italy, consolidating the company’s market leadership position.
At last, sale after sale, satisfying one customer at a time, the timing was right for a major company success, which is at the same time an absolute first for the wood processing industry and geographic area: the first hydrostatic self-propelled chipper destined for southern Italy was recently purchased and delivered: a PTH ALL ROAD, the flagship of Pezzolato chippers.
For those not yet familiar with Pezzolato ALL ROAD, we are talking about: 32 self-propelled tons of Italian technology and innovation, 800 horsepower, an hourly output of up to 380 cubic meters of high-quality wood chips, with certification for movement up to 80 km/h.
