PTH 1400/1000 ALLROAD
A self-propelled chipper with specific functioning devices which are a real novelty on the Italian and European market.
Such a compact design for an industrial vehicle: an easier use also in areas with infrastructural limits, as the narrow roadways and the reduced operation areas. This new model is the ideal one to operate in the plantations and is able to satisfy all the necessities of a fragmented and diversified property, i.e. orchards, poplar forests, and copses.
The drive is four-wheel and three different steering modes are possible: both axles separately, together or only frontal axle.
The low position of the feeding inlet accelerates the work either in case of little heaps of material, such as the ones available in poplar forests/orchards and of great piles of the wooden material, such us those collected on the road sides. In order to facilitate the introduction of bulky material (branches …), the lower feed roller has been changed with a longer feeding chain, able to transfer the material directly to the drum.
The drum has been designed to produce great quality chips, thus meeting the growing demand of the more up-to-dated stations, especially for the gasification units. The drum has a diameter of 820 mm and a width of 1400 for a weight of 3500 kg; section-divided in order to better distribute the machine stress on the different components, reduce vibrations, noise and consumption (less 30% if compared with machines of similar potentiality).
The chips expulsion fan with continuous speed regulation allows adjusting the speed to the real necessities, decreasing energy need.
The 550 Hp turbo-charged motor Stage IV (euro 6) is equipped with the EGR (exhaust emission blow-by) and SCR (Ad-Blue) systems, and avoids to draw upon the diesel particulate filter, which would reach too high temperatures during the regeneration to be assembled safely on a chipper, working in wooden dust condition.
The wholly glazed cab is equipped with controls for the total machine management, both for the machine movement and for the chipping, by means of the 2 coloured touch-screens 12.1”. In order to broaden the area which can be reached by the crane and to better the visibility of the area where the wood is loaded, the cab can be lifted and turned by 45° ca.
