PEZZOLATO AT APF: HISTORY AND INNOVATION OF FIREWOOD PRODUCTION PLANTS
Pezzolato S.p.a returns to APF, at the end of September, with two plants for the production of firewood on an industrial scale. Three are the goals the Pezzolato wants to achieve with this fair: to consolidate its role among the market leaders in the supply of this kind of production solutions in England, to meet long lasting customers, and to build new business opportunities favored by the ‘special economic quotations’ reserved to the customers we will meet at the fair.
A PREVIEW IN ENGLAND: THE TLC 2024, A COMBINED CUTTING AND SPLITTING PLANT FOR A SINGLE OPERATOR.
The updated version of the TLC will be premiered in the UK market at APF. A firewood production machine that, since its launch more than 25 years ago, has won over customers worldwide with its winning features. It is a high-performance combined cutting and splitting system that can be easily operated by a single operator, working with versatility both ‘log by log’ (diameter up to 47 cm) and with ‘mixed’ bundles of wood (thanks to an extended feed cradle of 60 cm). Among the strengths: a cutting unit with side disc saw which reduces consumption and naturally conveys sawdust without dispersion; the presence of a hydraulic pusher which is essential for advancing the material towards the cutting station and for calculating the exact dimensions of the log (or bundle) in order to minimise any waste.
TM + TB PLANT: CHAIN SAWING AND VERTICAL SPLITTING FOR LARGE LOGS
At the Pezzolato stand will be operative a plant, about to be delivered to England, which allows a single operator to obtain high quality firewood by processing logs with diameters of more than one metre. The system consists of a cutting unit (TM 1200) with a chain system for logs of any type, up to 6 m in length and a maximum diameter of 120 cm. The logs, thanks to the action of a rear pusher, are brought into position, blocked by a hydraulic guillotine system and then cut by the vertically moving saw chain. The cut logs are placed on the feed chain of the automatic vertical splitting unit (TB). The size of the split log is set electronically, achieving a minimum split size of 20 x 20 mm for the production of ‘firelighters’.
