The wide availability of large diameter logs, not suitable to be processed by the sawmill industry, brought the company Pezzolato to develop a new equipment for high quality firewood by processing logs with diameters up to 600 mm (23.62”).

This equipment is divided in:

CUTTING UNIT (TM 600)

The machine, fully hydraulic, has a feeding system consisting of 3 driven rollers with 600 mm centre distance and a 1400 mm long toothed chain, a chain saw and a infeed chain, 1600 mm long, for introducing the material on the chain of the splitting station.

The maximum cutting diameter is 600 mm (23.62”) and the maximum length is 500 mm (19.68”)

It is driven by an electric motor 18,5 kW.

Fixed pitch feed electronically set by the operator.

SPLITTING UNIT (TB 600).

It is equipped with an automatic vertical splitting system, able to process any type of logs, with a diameter range varying from 300 to 600 mm (from 11.81” to 3′ 23.62”) and a maximum heigth 500 mm (19.68”).

This unit conceived to process large diameter logs has an adjustable pitch feeding and is driven by an electric motor 18,5 kW; the splitting power can be 30 tons.

SPECIAL SPLITTING WEDGE FOR PRODUCING KINDLING

Special splitting wedge for producing kindling can be swapped with the standard wedge.

CONTROL PULPIT ON RAISED PLATFORM

From the pulpit the operator can control all operations of the sawing unit and all associated operations such as loading, splitting and oﬄoading, controlling the entire process.

CONTROL PULPIT ON RAISED PLATFORM

From the central control panel, the operator can control all the functions of the capping station and the related operations such as loading, splitting, ejection, and controlling the entire process.

CHAINSAW UNIT SLIDES VERTICALLY
